Headaches are inherently subjective, so there is potential for such complaints exaggerated or even underestimated. However, if you child is complaining of headaches, of course you get confused. For headaches suffered by the child usually difficult to diagnose. This is compounded by the limited ability of children to describe headaches experienced. That is why you need to better understand the headaches experienced by the child.

What are the different types and causes of headaches in children?

Headaches in children are generally divided into two types:
  1. Primary. This type of headache is the most common cause. A study emergency  room of the hospital said 82% of children who came with headaches, go home with a diagnosis of primary headache type. This type is usually composed of migraine and tension headaches.
  2. Secondary. The second category is the cause that must be considered by the parent. These headaches are usually caused by an organic cause or abnormalities in the body. Such as headaches caused by infection, tumor or mass and trauma to the head. There are some danger signs that indicate that the headaches is due to secondary causes, namely :
  • A brief history of headache, the headache can be the fist one the most.
  • Headaches are intensified in a matter of days or weeks.
  • The existence of signs of increased pressure in the head, such as morning headaches, vomiting, headache enough to disturb sleep, headache becomes severe because of coughing or valsava movement (the movement of breath through the nostrils and mount closed).
  • The change of behavior, some members of the child is body so weak, there are visual disturbances, confusion, seizures or body heat.
  •  A history of an underlying systemic disease.
  • The age of the child is still less than 3 years.
Another cause your child complains of headaches :

  2. Less liquid
  3. Taking certain drugs

  7. long overland trip
  8. Hear sounds too tight in the long term
  9. Inhaling cigarette smoke
What is the difference headaches in children and adults?
In addition to the type and causes of headaches, headaches between children and adults lies in the difficulty of diagnosis headaches in children. Because doctors or health workers are usually difficult to obtain information about the headaches, such as the location of headache, headaches suffered duration, severity and intensity of pain in the head. Therefore, the determination of diagnosis through comprehensive examination ranging from tracking the cause of the children until a physical examination and investigation should be carried out.

Any physical examination and investigation in children with headaches?
Children with headaches will be examined neurological status, blood pressure, head circumference (young children), touching the head and scalp, temporomandibular joints, the state of the teeth, ears and eyes. If necessary, will be investigated as elektroenchepalogram (EEG), analysis of cerebrospinal fluid (if meningitis is suspected), routine blood test, and X-ray examination especially sine analysis. Special imaging test such as X-ray, CT scans and MRIs are usually not indicated unless suspected secondary cause. From the research found 6% of the patients who come to the ER because of headache was actually caused life threatening conditions, such as meningitis.

What first aid a child suffers from headaches?
There are some guidelines for the handling of headache, one that guidelines is owned by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) which establishes the provision of drugs known as paracetamol and anti-inflammatory drug class of non steroidal (Non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDs) to acute pain in headache types of tension headaches and nasal triptan class og migraine. Anti-vomiting may also be added if there is a complaint of nausea or vomiting. In ASEAN countries, such as Singapore through the National University Hospital (NUH) provides guidance on the provision of anti-pain medication for 4-15 years of age, the type of paracetamol at a dose of 15 mg/kg and ibuprofen at a dose of 10 mg/kg for first aid headaches in children.

What are the next steps in the children who often suffer from headaches?
Most headaches are not caused by a secondary cause life threatening. But often chronic headaches and coming continuously. A study shows, the average child has a headaches attack the fist time at the age 7,5 years and unfortunately 50% of those who experienced this, continues to experience headaches up to 40 years, where as the cause dangerous. What which must be done? Turns drug alone is in fact not the only solution. We have been developed psychological therapy in children to reduce pain. Treatment is kind of relaxation therapy, biofeedback and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). In addition to medications and therapy, headaches in children is often caused because the light is too bright, smells that are too sharp, fast and lack of sleep. Therefore, keep a daily routine and stay away from the child with both trigger factors to reduce headaches in children.

When to see a doctor?
As the child complained of severe headaches that cause he could not move, of course the parents are concerned. what can be done is to clam the child and asked him to rest.

If the headaches continue to complain about children, even more severe or more frequent, and the mother did not manage to find the explanation, it helps the mother to consult a doctor. consider some of the following signs:
  1. Headaches occur more than once mouth
  2. Not easily lost either with rest or with a headaches remidy
  3. Very painful, to make a child can not move
Immediately contact your doctor (emergency room) if :
  1. Decreased consciousness

  • Traction veins with venous sinus displacement large vena
  • Traction meningeal artery
  • Traction of major arteries at the base of the brain
  • Distention and dilation of the arteries intra and ekstrakranial
  • Inflammation in places that are sensitive to pain in the head. Usually due to meningitis and encephalitis
  • Direct pressure by tumors on the cranial and cervical nerves, containing nerve fibers afferent pain
  • Tension, a prolonged tightening o the muscles of the neck, scalp and forehead. It usually occurs at the time of anxienty, stress, and fatique.
PROCESS OF HEADACHES

At headache, sensitization of meningeal nociceptors contained and central trigeminal neurons. the phenomenon of a reduction in the threshold value of the skin and cutaneous allodynia obtained in the patients who had an attack of migraine and other chonic headache is suspected as a reflection weighting responses of central trigeminal neurons.

Inervasi sensory itracranial vessels largely comes form the trigeminal ganglion form inside the sensory fibers contains neuropeptid where the number and role is the greatest is CGRP (Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide), followed by SP (Substance P), NKA (Neurokin A), pituitary adenylate cyclase activatingpeptide (PACAP) nitricoxide (NO), a molecule prostaglandin E2 (PGEJ2) bradykin, serotin (5-HT) and triphosphat triphosphate (ATP), activate or sensitize nosiseptor. Especially foe cluster headache, chonic paroxysmal headache clan is no longer the release of VIP (vasoactive intestine peptide),which play a role in the onset of symptoms of nasal congestion and rhinorrhea.

System ascending and descending pain pthways that paly a role in the transmission and modulation of pain locatied in the brain stem. the brain stem plays the most important role as the carrier of nociceptive impulses as well as the impulse modulator. Modulation transmission of sensory largely centered in the brain stem (eg periaquaductal gray matter, the locus coeruleus, nucleus raphe magnus and reticular formation), he set up the integration of the pain, the emotions and the response of the autonomic involving the convergence of the work of cortical somatosensory, hypothalamus, anterior cyngulate cortex, and other limbic system structures. Thus the brain stem called a generator and modulator headaches.

Stimuli electrode, or the deposition of iron Fe excessive periaquaduct gray (PGA) matter in the midbrain can trigger tha onset of headaches such as migraine (migraine like headaches). In the research MRI (magnetic ResonanceImaging) to the involvement of brainstem in migraine sufferers, CDH (Chronic Daily Headache) and a control sample of non sefagi, found evidenceof elevated deposition of Fe in the PGA in pattients with migraine and CDH compared with controls.

Definition Headache

Headache is a pain in the head and neck caused by a variety of causes. Headache is the result of interference on structures sensitives topain in the head and neck, the sclap, the underground network of fat head, the muscles of the head and neck, blood vessels, eyes, ears, teeth, sinuses, throat sectionabove, and nerves in the head.

Headache is divided into primary headache (without other specific causes) and secondary headache (due to other abnormalities in the head / neck). Primary headache cosisting of migranine, tension-type headache, cluster headache type, and headache due to a nervous breakdown on face. Tension type headache are primary headaches are most frequently encountered. Secondary headache associated with injury to the head / neck, circulatory disorders, use of drugs, infectio, blood disorders, psychiatric disorders, and other disorders of pain sensitive structures.

SYMPTOM
  • MIGRAINE
Symptoms of migraine vary among patients, There are 4 phase that are common in migraine sufferers, but not all of this phase should always be experienced by patients :
  1. The first phase (phase prodormal) experience by 40-60% of patients, such as mood swings, anxiety, became irritability, depression, weakness, fatique, lethargy, excerssive sleeping, desire for certain foods, and other symptoms. These symptoms appear a few hours or day before the headache phase.
  2. The second phase (phase aura) experienced by 64% patients is the phase  in wuch symptoms involving specific innervation (called an aura). This phase appears gradually 5-20 minutes prior to the onset of headache, lasts for 5-60 minutes and can dissapear completely. Symptoms can incluide visual symptoms (flashing light, spots, stripes, loss of vision). Symptoms related to the sensory nerves (numbness, loss of taste, flavour punctured) or speech disorder sy,ptoms. The presence of symptoms in patients before any preliminary migraine headache called classic migraine, while migraine without preliminary symptoms is called common migraine. Common migraine is more common than classic migraines.
  3. In the third phase (phase headache), patients feel pain in one side of the head throbbing. Headache is felt moderate to severe, current, and lasts for 4-72 hours. Migraine headaches worsened by physical activity such as walking / climbing stairs. during headaches, sufferers often feel nausea with or without vomiting, and sensitive to sound and light.
  4. The fourth phase (phase postdormal) experienced headaches after missing, namely in the form of fatique, irritability, impaired concentration, and mood swings. However some people may feel "fresh" after the attack, while others feel depressed and weak.
TENSION TYPE HEADACHE
This type of headache is felt on both sides of the head and feels depressed / tied rope (not pulsed). Headache is felt mild to moderate, repeat, do not worsen with physical activity and not accompanied by nausea. However, it can be found sensitivity to light or sound. Tension type headache can last form 30 minutes to 7 days.

CLUSTER HEADACHE
Cluster headaches are severe headaches, people always feel pain on the one hand around the eyeball, above the eyes, temple, or a combination of these places. It can last form 15-180 minutes. These headaches can be repeated with a frequency of every 1 time every tow days, up to 8 times / days. headache attacks are often a accompained by one or more of the following symptoms : watery eyes, red eyes, eyes hard to open, eyelid swelling, nasal congestion, runny nose, forehead of face sweating, and anxiety.

SECONDARY HEADACHE
Secondary headache symptoms are not specific. Called secondary headache because it is caused by other causes. Therefore, when the onset of headache adjacent to tehknown causes. Secondary headaches diminished or dissapeared within 3 months (or sooner) after the initial cause is treated.

There is a danger that some of the symptoms showed the need for further examination by a general practitioner or a medical specialist, such as : headache emerging or headaches with different characteristics than previously in patients above 50 years of age, Headaches that arise quickly in a few minutes (thunderclap headache), headache accompained by an inability to move the limbs, loss of consciousness, headaches that wake the patient form sleep, headache worsened during changes in body position / cough / straining, visual impairment: neck rigidity / fever / headache in patients with AIDS or cancer.

Headache within minutes can be a symptoms of brain hemorrhage. headache accompained by a fever is one of the symptoms of meningitis, especially if accompanied by an inability of the neck to bend forward. Headache that worsens when a change in position / cough / straining can be caused by increased pressure in the brain (found in brain tumors, encephalitis, brain hemorrhage). Inability to move the limbs showed the possibility of a stroke or brain tumor. Headaches in the elderly, specially if accompanied by visual disturbances and inability to open  the mouth suggests the possibility of large boold vessel inflammation. Acute glaucoma (increased eye pressure) also showed symptoms of headache around the eyes, visual disturbances, vomiting and red eyes.

Cluster Headache Treatment

Cluster headaches are also common during pregnancy. This is because of certain hormones generated at time, circulation of increased blood and fluctuations in estrogen levels. But this not the only cause, but tends to occur in the fist and trird trimesters. On the trimester hormonal changes, posture and weight gain of the pregnant woman. Other conditions of this headache can cause preeclampsia and high blood pressure during pregnancy.

Prevention is the best course of action to avoid headaches during pregnancy. Familiarize healthy lifestyle with adequate exercise, a balanced diet and plenty of rest and relaxation is a wise move.

Cluster headache diagnosis is made by taking the patients history. The description of pain and hour relapse is ussually sufficient to make the diagnosis. If examined in the midst of an attack, the patient is usually in a painful crisis and may have runny eyes and nose. If the patient in seen when the pain does not exist, normal physical examination and diagnsis depends on history.

Cluster headache may be very difficult to treat, and it may take trial and error to find a specific treadment regimen that will work to very patient. Due to recurring headaches every day, there are two maintenance requirements. The pain of the fist episode needs to be controlled, and headache following must be prevented.

Treatment in episodic cluster headache severity and frekuency of pain. Treatment is generally of two kinds. Treatment is usually an on going treatment.  While the secon is based on the need to stop the headache attacks as they arise. Some precautions can be taken at home to prevent cluster headaches

Therapy for the treatment of ckuster headache

There is not treatment to cure cluster headache. The goal of treatment is to help decrease the severity of pain and shorten the term of the ettack. Drugs that are used for cluster headache can be devided into drugs symptomatic and propylatic. Symptomatic drugs aimed at stopping or reducing pain after a cluster headache attack, wherease drugs are used prophylactically to reducea exacerbation frequency and intensity of headache.

Because this type of headache is increasing rapidly symptomatic traetment should have the nature of work quickly and can be supplied immediately, usually using injections or inhalers rather than tamblets orally.

The Symptomatic treatment incluiding :
  1.  Oxygen. Inhaling 100%oxygen through a face shield with a capacity of 7 liters/min give good recovery in 50 to 90% of people who use it. Sometimes a large amount can be more effective. The effect of its use is relatively safe, inexpensive, and the effect can be felt after about 15 minutes. The main disadvantage of this is the use of oxygen patients should carry oxygen cylinders and regulators, making the treatment in this way become uncofortable and can be accessed at any time. Sometimes oxygen might only delay rather than stop the attack and the pain will return.
  2. Sumatriptan. Injection drug commonly used to treat migraine, also effectively used in cluster headache. Some peple benefit from the use of sumatriptan in the form of nasal spray, but more research is still needed to determine its effectiveness.
  3. Ergotamine. The ergot alkaloids cause vasocontriction in smooth muscles in the blood vessels of the brain. Availabe in theform of injections and inhalers, the use of intravenous works faster than the dose inhalers should be limited to prevent the occurrence of side effects, specially nausea, and cautiously in patients with a history of hipertension.
  4. Medications local anesthesia. Local anesthetics stabilize the nerve so that the nerve cell membranes become less permeable to ions. This prevents the formation and conduction of nerve impluses, causing a local anesthetic effect. Lidocaine intra-nasal can be used effectively in cluster headache attacks. But must be careful when used in patients with hypoxia, respiratory depression, or bradycardia.
The next step for the prevention of cluster headache is as :
  1. Calcium channel blockers (eg, verapamil,[calan, verelan, verelan PM, isoptin, covera HS], diltiazem [cardizem, dilacor, tiazac])
  2. Predinose (deltasone, liquid pred)
  3. Anti -depressant
  4. Lithium(eskalith, lithobid)
  5. Anti-seizure medicine, including valproic acid, divalproex (depakote, depakote ER, depaken, depacon)and topiramate.
 SURGERY

Surgery is recommended in people with chronic cluster headache that does not respond well to medication or in those who have contraindications to the medications used. Someone who will undergo surgery just expeiriencing an attack on one side of the fist just because this operation can only be done once. People who experienced the attack moved from one side to the other at risk of failure.

There are several types of surgery that can be done to treat cluster headache. The procedure is done is damaging the nerve pathways responsible for the pain.
Nerve block invasive neurosurgical procedures or non-invansive (eg radio frekuency pericutaneus, gangliorhizolisis trigeminal, rhizotomi) has been proven to successfully treat cluster headache. However, side effects such diastesia occur on the face, sensory loss in the cornea and anesthesia dolorosa.

Surgery using gamma rays are now more commonly used becaused it is less invansive. Newand promising methodes is a stimulating electrode implantation using the guide stereostatik in the inferior part of the hypothalamus. Research shows that stimulation of the hypothalamus in patients with severe cluster headache provide complete cure and no significant side effects.

Lifestyle changes can help reduce the risk of flame cluster headache. Stop smoking and reduce alcohol can prevent cluster headache.

Cause of Headaches

Was not only high bood pressure, tress or disturbance in the brain that can trigger headaches, but simple things such as  perfume or meals are can cause headaches that interfere.

Cause of headache may not be the same among people with each other because there are many things that can cause this to hoppen. Headache or dizziness that occurs in a long time can be a daily headache unusual but occurs continuously but can also be a symptom of some other disease. Many other disease whose symptoms such as headaches continously.

Headaches that occur constantly definitely make daily activities uncomfortable and disturbed, even if the headache was severe, can not move and had to rest. The various causes of headache, may be due to an unhealthy lifestyle, wich this headache will be reduced if you start a true lifestyle, or could be also because there is an interruption in your body, wich is how to overcome them in nedd of treatment.

Continuous headache if it has occurs within 3 months and occurs more than 15 days each month, it can be referred to as chronic headache. continous headache is sometimes difficult to treat because it is quite difficult to determine the exact cause of the headache, then the treatment will have an effect only temporarily.

The following is an 10 causes headache :
  • Weather
The weather  was the main driver appears headache. Although not every kind of weather cause headaches, but when weather turns hot, Changes in humidity and air pressure can canges in humidity and air pressure can cange the camical in the brain, wich the triggers the pain headache.
It is not posssible to cange the weather, but we may prepare for headache attacks be always carrt painkillers
  • Stress
About two-third of people blaming stress as the cause of this pain attacks. But the headache is present even after the stressful period ends. The cause is hormone that is actively against stress suddenly drops, wich then triggers the blood vessels dilate and react, then trigger headaches. Stress can also cause tension in the neck area, shoulders and head muscles. This further affects the posture and get worse if the pantient in the sitting position in front of the computer for too long and rarely do physical work often squinting while reading can also cause muscle tension head. All the things that trigger headache due to stress.
  • Hormone
A woman familiar hormones that can trigger headache, especially hormone that appears in the menstrual period. This can be caused by a drop in estrogen levels during menstruation, and trigger headaches. You can not change the menstrual cycle without consulting a doctor, but if headache so severe, they can give a drug that can help this condition.
  • Diet
Diet plays an important role in health and it couldbe important factors that trigger headaches. Some of the food is believed to be a trigger include : cheeses (particularly soft cheese), chocolate, acidic fruits, preserved meats, nuts, salty snacks and food with MSG. Even ice cream can trigger a headache for some people, although only a few minutes.
  • Drink
Consuming too much of certain beverages such as tea, cofee or alcohol can trigger the presence of headache. Limit your intake of tea and coffe in one day, and accompanied with water. Dehydration is one cause headache.
  • Late Meal
Another factor is too late to eat. lateeat make your blood sugar level decreases, which then pushes headache. Many eating sugar can also trigger headache attacks. The cause is the rapid increase in blood sugar. Advised to consume healthy foods that can make you avoid headache.
  • Lack of Sleep
Lack of sleep also trigger headaches. Follow impartial sleep patterns, sleep and wake up at the same time every day, including weekends.
  • Posture Lazy
Body posture lazy bend will increase the pressure on the back and the neck can be a major cause of tension headaches. Avoid the same posture for a long time and practice sitting up straight and your back straight.
  • Swiping Gear
Headaches in some peole can be caused by the habit of swiping the teeth at night. Fortunately dentists have created a protective device that prevents tooth rubbing the teeth during sleep.

Then cause other diseases are associated with inflammati. Inflammation which can cause continous headache is inflammation associated with ENT, this is sinusitis,, or inflammation of the  sinuses, nose, especially nose top, then pharyngitis or strep throat, the last is the inflammation of the the ear called otitis. If you experience any of these ENT inflammation, should be sent to the ENT doctor so that your headaches may also be treated.

Everyday environment is not healthy can also cause headaches constantly. For part of the cigarette smoke will cause headaches. The use repellent (fuel) closed space that is excessive. Insect repellent is basically a poison, wich in small quantities will kill mosquitoes, if used in a confined space and ignited overnight, then the person will also be poisoned. Sleeping in a closed room that is too nerrow though not lit mosquito coil also allows the poisoning of carbon dioxide (CO2) which causes headaches un the morning untill noon.

Medical Term for a Headache

Many are asking about this one complaint is headache, who is not familiar with these complaints, generally most of us have ever felt. Head pain or known in medical language cephalgia / sefalgi is pain or discomfort in the head, local or generalized and can spread to the face, eyas, teeth, lower jaw, also the neck / nape (of the neck). Dizziness is a sense of rotating felt by the patient, without the pain, just a sense of spinning alone, wich many described in patients as if looking around him was spinning all, rocking, teetered precariously, even the impact of all this can cause nausea up the most severe vomiting and can be blacked out for a moment and after the patient regained consciousness usually sweat a lot such as depleted exercise, sometimes in some case followed by mules and twisted as if to defecate.

Headaches arise as a result of stimulation of the parts in the head and neck region are sensitive to pain. The section is muscle occipital, temporal, and frontal, scalp, and subcutaneous arteries periostium (exstra-cranial). While the skull is not sensitive to pain. Part intracranial (in the head) wich are sensitive to pain them meninges, especially the basal dural sinus and meninges that protects benosus and large arteries at the base of the brain. most of the brain tissue it self is not sensitive to pain.

This all a manifestation of a varety of disorders or diseases in the fields of neurology (nerve), otology (ear), cardiology (heart), psychiartry or latrogenic disorders (causes unknown / idopathic). Headache and dizzines,in the group of clinical symptoms or known in medical language called symptoms (symptoms that show signs).

The clinical picture includes headache is :
  1.  Time of onset of headache attacks.
  2.  Form of attack.
  3. Location of pain (half-head, the entire head, the front and back of thr head).
  4. The nature of pain (throbbing, heaviness, prickling, such as being hit hard objects)
  5. Prodromal
  6. Presence / absence of factors that mitigate or aggravate headache.
  7.  Factors stress / emotional.
  8. Presence / absence of medical ilness factor (inflammation of the lining of the brain, high blood pressure/ hypertension, typhoid fever / tyfus, sinusitis, glsucoma /high eye pressure, impaired visual acuity eye / vision, pattern of menstruation in women, a history of allergies and others).
  9. Presence / absence of a history of medical use of drugs (analgesics, narcotics, tranquilizers, vasodilators) or non-medical (herbs / spices, herbs).
This typeof headache is based on the clinical picture and causes can be devided as follows :
  • Common migraine : nature throbbing, is location can be unilateral / side only or bilateral / for either side, the duration of pain between 6-48 hours, frequency of sporadic / several times a month, accompanying symptoms of nausea, vomiting, malaise / fatigue, photophobia / fear of light / easy glare.
  •  Migraine classical : nature throbbing pain, unilateral location / one side only, the duration of pain between 3-12 hours, frekuency of sporadial / several times a month, prodromal visual accompanying symptoms, nausea, vomiting, malaise and photophobia.
  •  Cluster : nature sharp pain, dull, location unilateral and orbital (around the eyes), the duration of pain between 15 minutes to 120 minutes, the frequency attack groups with remission old, accompanying symptoms lacrimation ipsilateral (watery eyes on the same side of the headache arising), red face, nasal congestion / horner.
  • Type tense : nature dull pain, like pressure, diffuse location / uneven or bilateral, long the pain is continous, constant frekuency, associated symptoms of depression, anxyety / restlessness.
  • Trigeminal neuralgia : nature tingling pain, nerve dermatomes location 5 / according trips trigeminal nerve-5, the short duration of pain between 15 to 60 seconds, the frekuency several times a day, according associated symptoms of pain trigger zone.
  • Atypical / Atypic : nature dull pain, location unilateral / bilateral, duration of pain continuos, constant frecuency, associated symptoms of depression sometimes psychosis.
  • Sinus : nature dull pain / sharp, located above the sinus / nasal cavity between the two eyebrows, the duration of pain varies, sporadic or constant frekuency, associated symptoms rhinorrhea / runny nose / runny / cold.
  • Lesions persisted space ; the nature of pain varies, location unilateral (early phase) and bilateral (late phase), the duration of pain varied and progessive, its fraquency is varied and increasingly frequent, accompanying symptoms papil-edema / swelling of the nerve within the eyeball, deficit focal neurologic, impaired consciousness / behavior, seizures, vomiting, projectile / spurts and others.
Treatment :
For headaches that are mild, there is no history of head injury and other causes that might be expected by the patient, then it could be tried fist by drinking sweetened water / sugar and immediately lie down to rest, if not reduced, can be tested by taking drugs counter pain, but should be taken after meals and do not exceed a dose of 3 x 1 daily or the recommended dosage.

The Sense of Dizziness and Vertigo.

Dizzines and vertigo are two types of taste disorders of balance that needs to be distinguished. When the body was floating, staggered, swaying, as if drunk land / sea it is a pcture that is in accordance with "dizziness". Then, if you fell the body or object rotates around a rotating body or bodies are strewn around the painting of "vertigo". The basis of vertigo is interference with the bodys equilibrium. Dizziness while not always ponit the tool body balance disorders as the causes. This is a chaotic feeling dizzy in the head.

The clinical picture of dizziness among others is :
  1.  Sudden attacks or slowly from rotating sense (known as vertigo), and last longer accompanied by nausea to vomiting, pale face.
  2. Symptoms triggered / exacerbated by head movements or changes in position, so that the patient feel more like a silent does not want to move in bed.
  3. Nature / flavor spins can not disappear with treatment resistant pain / pain relivers.
  4. Ussualy when the attack comes, people often close my eyes, in order to reduce the effect of rotating flavor that makes nausea to vomiting.
  5. Patients become irritable / sensitive to any stimuli, including the slightest movement.
  6. Patientsbecome difficult to sleep, and the sleep is increasingly difficult circumstances aggravate the state of dizziness and a sense of turning increasingly becoming.
The types of dizziness :
  •  Type vestibulair : rotating flavors that one-sided / undireksional, wich occurs due to interference vestibulair acute unilateral peripheral (labyrinth disorders / fluid in the cochelea in the inner ear cavity).
  • Type semicircular-ocular nystagmus : rotating flavors that are appropriate excitation trip semicircular canal-ocular reflex (a reflex nerve tunnel of nerves that runs circular eyeball).
  • Type central nystagmus : rotating flavors that change direction on various directions of gaze (nystagmus multi-direction nystagmus, more often found in cases of drug intoxication / poisoning such as drug intoxication or food that contain toxins.

Cluster Headaches

Cluster headache is a headache syndrome wihch is much more common in ment that women. Cluster headaches usually attack together at the same time every day, and periodically during the day or night for several weeks and even up mounthly. Foolowed by headache attacks. Cluster headaches are also considered as a seasonal disease. Pain in the head as a result of cluster headaches are categorized 1 and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. The pain is usually gathered on one side of the head only, in the area behind and around the eyes. Signs commonly found in cluster headaches is a redness, watery eyes, runny or stuffy nose on one side only.

Unclear why men are more susceptible to cluster headaches than women. Some risk factors that trigger cluster headaches are smoking and sensitivity to certain foods. But whether these factors has a different trigger on men and women for cluster headaches, it has not been proven. A history of cluster headaches in the family increases the risk of this disease, and also affect the severity.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF CLUSTER HEADACHES

An attack is almost always begin abruptly and ended within 1 hour. The attack often starts with itching or runny on one side of nose, which precedes severe pain on the same side of the head and spreads to the eye area. After the attack, the eyelid on the same side can be closed and pupils are often smaller. Attack some in cluster, ranging from 2 attack / week to several attack /day. Most episodes of cluster headaches lasted for 608 weeks and sometimes longer, followed by headache-free interval for several months before the attack appeared again. At time of stop period, there will be no pain in the head for a month, and sometimes year.

Fortunately, cluster headache is rare and not life threatening. Treatment can help make the duration ofthe attack becomes shortes and fewer sick. In addition, medically prevention can help reduce headaches.

Cluster headache attack quickly, usually without warning. Signs and symptoms in particular are :
  1. Terrible pain, usually located in or around the eye, but can propagate to other areas on the face, head, neck and shoulders.
  2. Pain on the side.
  3. Anxienty.
  4. Exit excessive tear.
  5. Red eye as a side effect.
  6. Mucus or wet the nostrils as a side effect of the face.
  7. Sweating, pale skin on the face.
  8. Swelling arround the eyes as a side effect of the face.
  9. The size of the smaller pupil.
  10. The eyelids were withered.
Pain in cluster headache pain is often described as sharp, stabbing ar burning. People with this condition say that the pain felt like a hot poker in the eye or eyebell was knocked out. People with cluster headaches appear anxity, like speed or sit and swing back and forth to soothe the pain. Contrast with people with migraine, people with cluster headaches usually avoid lying down position because it can increase the pain. Some migraine like symptoms including nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and the beam, wich may occur with cluster headaches.

CAUSES AND RISK FACTORS

The exact cause of cluster headaches is unknown, but abnormalities in the hypotalamus seem to play a role. Cluster attacks occur as a daily routine, and the cycle of cluster periods often follow the reasons a pattern involved in the bodys biological clock.

Other factors may also be involved is:
  1. Hormones. people with cluster headaches have abnormal levels of certain hormones, such as melationin and cortisol, occurs when the cluster period.
  2. Neurotransmitter. Changing levels of some chemical reactions that carries nerve impulses to the brain (neurotrensmitters), such as serotonin, may have a role in the growth of cluster headaches.
Whereas such risk factor is :
  1. Man. Men are more likely than women to have cluster headaches.
  2. Adults. many people with cluster headaches first appeared at the age of late 20s, although this condition can develop at any age.
  3. Smoking. Most people who experience pain cluster headaches attack were smokers.
  4. Drinking alcohol. Alcohol can trigger an attack if you have a risk of cluster headaches.
  5. Note family. If parents or siblings have cluster headaches, you may be increased risk of cluster headache.
HOW PREVENTION

Due cause of cluster headaches is unknown, you can not prevent the fist occurence. However, prevention strategies are cluster headaches with medication alone is not a useful acute equally. Prevention can help reduce the risk and severity of attack and the increased risk of headache. Prevention medical treatment can also increase the effectiveness of acutemedical treatment.

In addition, you can reduce the risk of attack by avoiding nicotine and alcohol, wich often accelerate cluster headaches.
