Medical Term for a Headache

Many are asking about this one complaint is headache, who is not familiar with these complaints, generally most of us have ever felt. Head pain or known in medical language cephalgia / sefalgi is pain or discomfort in the head, local or generalized and can spread to the face, eyas, teeth, lower jaw, also the neck / nape (of the neck). Dizziness is a sense of rotating felt by the patient, without the pain, just a sense of spinning alone, wich many described in patients as if looking around him was spinning all, rocking, teetered precariously, even the impact of all this can cause nausea up the most severe vomiting and can be blacked out for a moment and after the patient regained consciousness usually sweat a lot such as depleted exercise, sometimes in some case followed by mules and twisted as if to defecate.

Headaches arise as a result of stimulation of the parts in the head and neck region are sensitive to pain. The section is muscle occipital, temporal, and frontal, scalp, and subcutaneous arteries periostium (exstra-cranial). While the skull is not sensitive to pain. Part intracranial (in the head) wich are sensitive to pain them meninges, especially the basal dural sinus and meninges that protects benosus and large arteries at the base of the brain. most of the brain tissue it self is not sensitive to pain.

This all a manifestation of a varety of disorders or diseases in the fields of neurology (nerve), otology (ear), cardiology (heart), psychiartry or latrogenic disorders (causes unknown / idopathic). Headache and dizzines,in the group of clinical symptoms or known in medical language called symptoms (symptoms that show signs).

The clinical picture includes headache is :

1.  Time of onset of headache attacks.
2.  Form of attack.
3. Location of pain (half-head, the entire head, the front and back of thr head).
4. The nature of pain (throbbing, heaviness, prickling, such as being hit hard objects)
5. Prodromal
6. Presence / absence of factors that mitigate or aggravate headache.
7.  Factors stress / emotional.
8. Presence / absence of medical ilness factor (inflammation of the lining of the brain, high blood pressure/ hypertension, typhoid fever / tyfus, sinusitis, glsucoma /high eye pressure, impaired visual acuity eye / vision, pattern of menstruation in women, a history of allergies and others).
9. Presence / absence of a history of medical use of drugs (analgesics, narcotics, tranquilizers, vasodilators) or non-medical (herbs / spices, herbs).

This typeof headache is based on the clinical picture and causes can be devided as follows :

• Common migraine : nature throbbing, is location can be unilateral / side only or bilateral / for either side, the duration of pain between 6-48 hours, frequency of sporadic / several times a month, accompanying symptoms of nausea, vomiting, malaise / fatigue, photophobia / fear of light / easy glare.   
•  Migraine classical : nature throbbing pain, unilateral location / one side only, the duration of pain between 3-12 hours, frekuency of sporadial / several times a month, prodromal visual accompanying symptoms, nausea, vomiting, malaise and photophobia.
•  Cluster : nature sharp pain, dull, location unilateral and orbital (around the eyes), the duration of pain between 15 minutes to 120 minutes, the frequency attack groups with remission old, accompanying symptoms lacrimation ipsilateral (watery eyes on the same side of the headache arising), red face, nasal congestion / horner.
• Type tense : nature dull pain, like pressure, diffuse location / uneven or bilateral, long the pain is continous, constant frekuency, associated symptoms of depression, anxyety / restlessness.
• Trigeminal neuralgia : nature tingling pain, nerve dermatomes location 5 / according trips trigeminal nerve-5, the short duration of pain between 15 to 60 seconds, the frekuency several times a day, according associated symptoms of pain trigger zone.
• Atypical / Atypic : nature dull pain, location unilateral / bilateral, duration of pain continuos, constant frecuency, associated symptoms of depression sometimes psychosis.
• Sinus : nature dull pain / sharp, located above the sinus / nasal cavity between the two eyebrows, the duration of pain varies, sporadic or constant frekuency, associated symptoms rhinorrhea / runny nose / runny / cold.
• Lesions persisted space ; the nature of pain varies, location unilateral (early phase) and bilateral (late phase), the duration of pain varied and progessive, its fraquency is varied and increasingly frequent, accompanying symptoms papil-edema / swelling of the nerve within the eyeball, deficit focal neurologic, impaired consciousness / behavior, seizures, vomiting, projectile / spurts and others.

Treatment :
For headaches that are mild, there is no history of head injury and other causes that might be expected by the patient, then it could be tried fist by drinking sweetened water / sugar and immediately lie down to rest, if not reduced, can be tested by taking drugs counter pain, but should be taken after meals and do not exceed a dose of 3 x 1 daily or the recommended dosage.

The Sense of Dizziness and Vertigo.

 Dizzines and vertigo are two types of taste disorders of balance that needs to be distinguished. When the body was floating, staggered, swaying, as if drunk land / sea it is a pcture that is in accordance with "dizziness". Then, if you fell the body or object rotates around a rotating body or bodies are strewn around the painting of "vertigo". The basis of vertigo is interference with the bodys equilibrium. Dizziness while not always ponit the tool body balance disorders as the causes. This is a chaotic feeling dizzy in the head.

The clinical picture of dizziness among others is :

1.  Sudden attacks or slowly from rotating sense (known as vertigo), and last longer accompanied by nausea to vomiting, pale face.
2. Symptoms triggered / exacerbated by head movements or changes in position, so that the patient feel more like a silent does not want to move in bed.
3. Nature / flavor spins can not disappear with treatment resistant pain / pain relivers.
4. Ussualy when the attack comes, people often close my eyes, in order to reduce the effect of rotating flavor that makes nausea to vomiting.
5. Patients become irritable / sensitive to any stimuli, including the slightest movement.
6. Patientsbecome difficult to sleep, and the sleep is increasingly difficult circumstances aggravate the state of dizziness and a sense of turning increasingly becoming.

The types of dizziness :

•  Type vestibulair : rotating flavors that one-sided / undireksional, wich occurs due to interference vestibulair acute unilateral peripheral (labyrinth disorders / fluid in the cochelea in the inner ear cavity).
• Type semicircular-ocular nystagmus : rotating flavors that are appropriate excitation trip semicircular canal-ocular reflex (a reflex nerve tunnel of nerves that runs circular eyeball).
• Type central nystagmus : rotating flavors that change direction on various directions of gaze (nystagmus multi-direction nystagmus, more often found in cases of drug intoxication / poisoning such as drug intoxication or food that contain toxins.
